Curriculum

UST Junior High School is one of the private schools in Manila, but for the curriculum, this school still uses the general curriculum in the Philippines, namely K-12 curriculum (re: K to 12). The K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School.

There are seven Learning Areas under the Core Curriculum. These are Languages, Literature, Communication, Mathematics, Philosophy, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. Current content from some General Education subjects is embedded in the SHS curriculum. Core are learning standard for science is the learner demonstrates an understanding of basic science concepts, process skills, make a product, save the environment and problem-solving.
